Buckeye Lake State Park - North Shore



Buckeye Lake State Park, constructed as a canal feeder lake in 1826, is Ohio's oldest state park. The park has long been a popular vacation spot and today offers endless water-related recreational opportunities including swimming, skiing, boating and fishing.

 

This park serves as the main public landing place for boats entering Buckeye Lake and is just a short walk or boat cruise away from our docks!

The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society​​​ - Buckeye Lake Museum


The Society was founded at Buckeye Lake, Ohio in 1995 and the museum opened in 1998. 

At the museum, visit the Rocket Ride, play Skee Ball, or look over thousands of items from the early to mid 1900's showcasing the history of Buckeye Lake and the surrounding areas, including the communities of Hebron, Millersport and Thornville!

Dawes Arboretum

The Dawes Arboretum is a nonprofit arboretum located inHeath Ohio. It includes nearly 2,000 acres of plant collections, gardens, and natural areas. The site includes approximately 12 miles of hiking trails and roadways for a four-mile driving tour. Benches are scattered around the property as well as information placards to learn more about the plants and the history of the arboretum. Enjoy a visitor's center and gift shop as well!
